Claude Le Roy (argelino, nacido en 1936) «Vamos a la exposición de los jardineros de la memoria en Bègles», 1992 Sobre pintado. Firmado, titulado y fechado. Dedicado en el reverso a Laurent Danchin. Alt. 47, An. 39 cm. Procedencia: colección de Laurent Danchin (1946-2017), escritor, ensayista y crítico de arte, por herencia familiar. Nacido en Orán, aduanero de profesión, El Roy se inició en el dibujo de forma autodidacta hacia los 41 años, desarrollando un estilo gráfico cercano a la escritura que evolucionó hacia una «caligrafía árabe imaginaria». Mantuvo una correspondencia constante con Jean Dubuffet entre 1977 y 1985. Sus obras se exponen en el Musée de la Création Franche de Bègles.
