MEARS 1890» (parte inferior derecha) Óleo sobre lienzo 19½ x 35½ pulgadas (49,5 x 90 cm) Procedencia: Christie’s Londres: «Maritime & Naval Battles (Pictures)», 8 de noviembre de 2006, lote 505. Construido en 1888 en Ruan, con un arqueo de 760 toneladas, prestó servicio en la travesía del Canal de la Mancha hasta 1903, cuando comenzó a realizar travesías a la Isla de Man con el nombre de «Duchess of Buccleuch», y fue desguazado en 1909. Retocados intensamente en el cielo, reentelados. Enmarcado: 31 x 46 pulgadas.
