VIETNAM. Caja de betel de plata decorada con pétalos de loto; el pomo tiene forma de capullo de loto y la base está decorada con pétalos. Alt. 16,5 cm. Diám. 13 cm. Peso: 465 g. La tapa presenta una abolladura. En el Museo Nacional de Historia de Vietnam (colección de los tesoros reales de Hue) se conserva un modelo similar. La flor de loto es uno de los ocho tesoros del budismo; en el arte budista, se asocia a menudo con la imagen del Buda, representado sentado o de pie sobre una flor de loto.
