Charles Grignion (1721-1810) Esqueleto musculado, visto de frente con rinoceronte [Lámina IV]; Esqueleto musculado, visto de espaldas con rinoceronte [Lámina VIII] Grabados, un par, 1748, buenas impresiones bien entintadas, publicadas por John y Paul Knapton; una hoja presenta un desgarro marginal en la parte inferior izquierda y ligeras manchas superficiales; cada marca de plancha mide aprox. 572 x 413 mm (22 1/2 x 16 1/4 pulgadas), cada hoja mide aprox. 630 x 485 mm (24 3/4 x 19 pulgadas) (sin enmarcar) Procedencia: Colección privada, Dorset, Reino Unido *** Perteneciente a una edición de la obra de Bernhard Siegfried Albinus «Tabulae sceleti et musculorum corporis humani», que, según se dice, se publicó sin el consentimiento del autor. El rinoceronte representado procedía originalmente de la India y era propiedad del capitán de barco Douwe Mout; se llamaba «Miss Clara» y realizó una gira por ciudades europeas a mediados del siglo XVIII.
