UN BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI DE BRONCE SENTADO, TÍBET, SIGLO XV Dimensiones: Altura 16,5 cm, Ancho 12 cm, Profundidad 8 cm Peso: 880 gramos Un Buda Shakyamuni tibetano del siglo XV, realizado en bronce, sentado en posición de meditación sobre un trono de doble loto de fina fundición. La mano derecha se extiende hacia abajo en el bhumisparsha mudra, el gesto de tocar la tierra que evoca la iluminación del Buda, mientras que la izquierda descansa plácidamente en el regazo. Su sencilla túnica monástica sigue los contornos del torso, y el rostro sereno está enmarcado por rizos apretados y lóbulos de las orejas alargados. La cálida pátina marrón y los recovecos más oscuros enriquecen el suave modelado del cuerpo y los rítmicos pétalos de loto del pedestal. La quietud de la pose y la claridad de la iconografía hacen de esta pieza un bronce devocional budista del Himalaya maravillosamente equilibrado.
