QU Qianmei (nacida en 1956) «2012 L-05» Técnica mixta sobre tabla de madera Firmado y titulado en el reverso 180 x 130 cm (Pequeñas faltas) Ficha: Qu Qianmei, nacida en 1956 en Ruian, en la provincia de Zhejiang, descubrió desde muy joven la laca, una antigua tradición de su región natal. Afincada en Francia desde 1985, y dividiendo actualmente su vida entre París y Shanghái, desarrolla una abstracción de la materia que combina la influencia de la abstracción lírica parisina, siguiendo los pasos de Zao Wou-Ki y Chu Teh-Chun, con la pintura paisajística china. La obra de Antoni Tàpies la orienta hacia las texturas y los materiales: laca, polvo de madera, pigmentos minerales, caolín y té pu-erh componen superficies trabajadas en profundidad, en la frontera entre la pintura y la escultura. Expuesta en la UNESCO en 2012 y en numerosas instituciones de China, cuenta con obras en las colecciones de la UNESCO y de la catedral de Ruán.
