En 8º, encuadernación en piel de la época sobre tapas, con los bordes de las tapas ligeramente rozados. Texto limpio y nítido. Completo: [17], 464 págs. En la guarda delantera, un bonito exlibris de Cattaui Pasha (1862-1942), un importante empresario, escritor y político egipcio. En muy buen estado general. La obra recoge los relatos de Emerson y Pecchio sobre sus viajes por Grecia. Pecchio viajó a Grecia con la esperanza de presenciar un glorioso triunfo de los griegos, impulsado por diversos informes y por la ola de idealismo filhelénico que barría entonces Europa. Sufrió una amarga desilusión, pero regresó en varias ocasiones y, finalmente, encontró la muerte en Egina en 1826. La presente edición francesa contiene material adicional de Jean Cohen sobre los acontecimientos hasta 1826, ausente en la edición inglesa. Una importante obra filhelenista.
