Goyen, Jan van Leiden, 1596 - La Haya, 1656 41 x 61 cm Paisaje fluvial con granja. Óleo sobre madera, con revestimiento de parqué en el reverso; en la parte inferior derecha, sobre la barca, lleva un monograma y la fecha 164(0/6/9), aunque la ligera borrosidad de la pintura dificulta su lectura. Colección privada, sur de Alemania. Ya se encuentra una composición similar con horizonte bajo en el cuaderno de bocetos londinense de Goyen (hacia 1627-1635). Véase Hans-Ulrich Beck, Jan van Goyen, Introducción y catálogo de dibujos a mano I, Ámsterdam 1972, n.º 844/38. En el margen izquierdo se distingue, en pequeño, a un jinete a caballo sobre una barcaza de transbordador, un motivo sumamente raro en la obra de Goyen. Un motivo muy similar aparece prácticamente al mismo tiempo en otro cuadro de Goyen, que lleva el mismo monograma y está fechado en 1646 (véase Hans-Ulrich Beck, Jan van Goyen 1596-1656, Catálogo de pinturas 2, Ámsterdam 1973, n.º 678 «Un gran transbordador con dos jinetes»).
