Emil Schumacher, Homenaje a Picasso, aguafuerte en aguatinta firmado de 1972/73 Emil Schumacher, 1912 Hagen - 1999 San José, Ibiza, pintor y representante del Informel, aquí: Homenaje a Picasso, grabado en aguatinta firmado, 55 x 41 cm, firmado, numerado XIII/XXX, enmarcado bajo cristal Sobre el artista: Schumacher estudió diseño publicitario entre 1931 y 1934 en la Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Dortmund. A partir de 1955, Schumacher se dio a conocer gracias a sus primeras exposiciones y premios; su participación en la 29.ª Bienal de Venecia de 1961, así como la concesión del Premio Guggenheim (Sección Nacional) ya en 1958, dan fe de su éxito internacional. En 1959 participó en la documenta II de Kassel. Entre 1958 y 1960 fue profesor en la Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de Hamburgo, y de 1966 a 1977 en la Academia Estatal de Bellas Artes de Karlsruhe.
