OBRA AUSTRIACA Par de sillas de caoba moldeada y tallada, con respaldo formado por cinco travesaños sinuosos y calados, adornados en el centro con motivos vegetales en volutas, y montantes moldeados. Patas de sección cuadrada con molduras, unidas por un travesaño en forma de «H». Asiento tapizado con una tela con motivo de cachemira. Hacia 1900-1910. Alt. 100 cm – An. 57 cm – Prof. 55 cm Nuestra silla es similar a las que procedían de la antesala del piso de Rudolf Kraus, hermano del escritor y satírico Karl Kraus, situado en el número 13 de la Nibelungengasse de Viena. Adolf Loos (1870-1933), arquitecto austriaco, exponía en este piso sus obras y recurría a ebanistas como Josef Veillich o Friedrich Otto Schmidt, inspirándose con frecuencia en modelos del siglo XVIII.
