Empuñadura de bronce, de una sola pieza, sin orejetas, con el punzón «Quantin à Paris» grabado en la rama de la guarda; hoja curvada de lomo plano, con el punzón del haz de lictores grabado. Funda de cuero con dos adornos de latón y refuerzo de cuero negro (parcialmente descosido). Longitud: 75 cm A.B.E. Proveedor hacia 1790. Visto en la guarda de un sable de caballería y de dragón según Jarlier-Buigné.
