Rupert Spira (nacido en 1960) Copa grande con tapa Gres esmaltado en color «sangre de buey», con matices de rojo cobrizo y púrpura. Sello «RS» impreso Hacia 1990 D56,5 cm Rupert Spira, ceramista británico, se formó con Henry Hammond en el West Surrey College of Art and Design y, posteriormente, con Michael Cardew en Wenford Bridge entre 1980 y 1982. Enmarcado en la tradición de la cerámica de taller británica, su trabajo combina la precisión de las formas con la investigación sobre los esmaltes. Sus obras posteriores incluyen también piezas con inscripciones poéticas. La sobriedad del perfil de esta pieza resalta las variaciones del esmalte, mientras que su amplio diámetro le confiere una presencia escultórica.
