La primera edición de esta tesis doctoral sobre los molinos obligatorios se publicó en 1678.- La obligación de utilizar un molino es el derecho señorial de obligar a los súbditos a utilizar un molino determinado, así como la obligación de los súbditos de cumplir con dicha exigencia (Diccionario Jurídico Alemán IX, columnas 953). De este modo, el molinero obtenía una posición de monopolio, aunque, en la mayoría de los casos, debía entregar una gran parte de sus ingresos al señor feudal. - La portada presenta algunas manchas de humedad.
