DIESEL FOR OVERDYED. Pair of "Overdyed" armchairs from the Successful Living series. Steel core and stained ash plywood. With labels on all chairs. With marks of use. In need of restoration. Measurements: 77 x 78 x 65 cm. The particularity of the Overdyed chair lies especially in the vintage look of its structure, which has been achieved thanks to the staining of its surface. The Successful Living collection (to which the Overdyed series belongs) combines the great creativity of the Diesel team with the typical Moroso manufacturing quality. It also plays with fashion trends and perfectly reflects the Diesel spirit: an unconventional and creative style. It is a functional piece of furniture designed for Moroso, one of the most internationally renowned Italian designer furniture brands.

WILLY VAN DER MEEREN (Belgium, 1923-2002) for Tubax, Belgium. Pair of chairs, 1950s. Chromed metal and yellow upholstery. Measurements: 70 x 60 x 53 cm; 41 cm (seat height). This pair of Belgian chairs features elements characteristic of midcentury forms with Nordic influence. For example, the backrest has a curvature for ergonomic back support. The metal frame and flowing forms make it a pair of exquisitely crafted and highly sophisticated chairs. Willy Van der Meeren studied architecture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent and began his career working for a furniture company. He founded his own company in the 1950s, Tubax, which produced furniture for schools, offices and hospitals. He is most famous for his "301" chair, a metal folding chair that was mass-produced and used in many public buildings in Belgium. He was a member of the design group De Coene in Kortrijk and taught industrial design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. His work has been exhibited in numerous museums and design exhibitions, including MoMA in New York.

RODOLFO BONETTO (Milan, 1929-1991) for DRIADE. Pair of armchairs. Plastic material. With Driade label. Slight marks of use on the base. Measurements: 70 x 66 x 70 cm. Pair of armchairs of marked geometric design, based on rounded volumes, whose clean lines are enhanced by the neatness of the reddish-colored plastic material. It consists of a unitary and fluid volume in which the legs form the sides of the furniture and, in a continuous way, form the armrests, seats and backs of the same. The self-taught designer Rodolfo Bonetto began his career working for the Olivetti company in the late 1950s, where he contributed to the design of several products, including typewriters, household appliances, calculators and furniture such as the Boomerang armchair. Later he also worked for Kodak, Braun and Yamaha. His successful career led him to be awarded up to eight times with the Compasso d'Oro, the highest Italian design award. He is best known for his creations in the fields of technology and transportation (he worked for the Italian public transport company ATM), as well as for bicycles, motorcycles and automobiles. He has twice been president of ADI (Associazione Disegno Industriale) and president of ICSID (International Council of Societies of Industrial Design).

MOTOKO ISHII (Japan, 1938), for Staff Wall sconce, ca. 1970s. Polished metal and glass. Measurements: 20 x 25 cm. Wall lamp designed by Motoko Ishii for Staff, in the 1970s. Ishii was inspired on this occasion by the space age. The glass balls that protect the lamp make it optically larger. The transparent volume of the globe lamp lends lightness to the design. Motoko Ishii is a Japanese lighting designer. From 1965 to 1967 she worked in lighting design studios in Finland and Germany. Returning to Japan in 1968, she established the Ishii Motoko Design Office. One of her main projects was the lighting design for Expo ‘75 in Okinawa. From the 1980s onwards, she did the designs for a number of major projects. Three major events for which he was responsible for lighting were Expo ‘85 in Tsukuba, the Yokohama Lighting Festival and Japan Flora 2000. He also designed lighting for the cities of Osaka, Hakodate, Himeji and Kurashiki, and for the gassh?-zukuri village of Shirakawa. His 1989 redesign of the Tokyo Tower lighting attracted international attention. He won the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America award for the Light Fantasy Electricity Pavilion at the International Garden and Vegetation Exposition (Osaka, 1990) and again for the Rainbow Bridge (1994). In 2009, he designed the lighting for the Elisabeth Bridge in Budapest, Hungary.
