Estrenada el 12 de abril de 1826 en Covent Garden, la ópera fue un gran éxito. Meyer murió habiendo vislumbrado este éxito el 5 de junio de 1826, mientras escribía una adaptación alemana. Media basana contemporánea, lomo liso, falsos nervios con dorados, bordes manchados. Bordes de la tabla desgastados, roces en la encuadernación, páginas a veces ligeramente marrones con tinta, pequeña humedad marginal en las 5 últimas hojas. Poco común.
