Dos tarros pequeños de mermelada o compota. Cataluña e Inglaterra, siglo XIX. Plata. Con matasellos en las dos piezas (en catalán por Alfons Serrahima). Una de ellas conserva la cuchara. Presenta marcas de uso y desgaste. Medidas: 6 x 4,5 x 4,5 cm. Pareja de tarros con tapa para mermelada o compota totalmente realizados en plata. Uno de ellos tiene forma cilíndrica mientras que el otro presenta una panza convexa. Finas incisiones o sencillas molduras embellecen los recipientes, aportando una línea de modernidad en la que predomina el gusto delicado, lejos de excentricidades. Alfons Serrahima fue un joyero y orfebre catalán activo desde los años treinta hasta finales del siglo XX. Su formación se centró principalmente en el taller de Antoni Urpí en Sarrià (el barrio donde creció), figura destacada en las exposiciones de 1898 y 1907. Más tarde continuó su aprendizaje en el Círculo Artístico de Sant Lluc, donde perfeccionó su técnica de dibujo.

FEDERICO CORREA (1924-2020) & ALFONSO MILÁ (1924-2009). For Polinax. Pair of table lamps "Bach".1971. Chromed metal. Measurements: 67 x 45 x 45 cm.; 33 cm. base. Table lamps of the Bach series. Mdelo designed in 1970 by the couple of architects Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá. Originally produced by Polinax, it went on to be edited by Gres in the eighties and later by Santa&Cole. Piece of classic lines and modern concept, it is characterized by the contrast of its materials. The structure is made of chromed steel, with a large square base from which emerge two plates joined by two rectangular pieces through which the electric cable runs. A large, slightly conical circular shade adds warmth to the structure. The tandem of Catalan architects Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá, both born in 1924, were one of the most outstanding references of the Modern Movement in the second half of the 20th century. Correa and Milá followed the slogan that interior and industrial design were part of the same architectural project. Collaborators of José Antonio Coderch, they founded their own studio in 1953. Architecture of summer houses in Cadaqués, institutional and residential buildings, sports stadiums, factories and offices, interior design for the legendary restaurants FlashFlash or Il Giardinetto and singular and iconic design pieces to equip their own works and for furniture companies such as Gres.
