Besch Cannes Auction

Founded in 2002 by auctioneer Jean-Pierre Besch, Besch Cannes Auction has successfully built a loyal international clientele, establishing itself as a benchmark in the field of prestige auctions.

All auctions are cataloged and held at the prestigious Hotel Martinez in Cannes three times a year: at Easter, on August 15th, and in late December.

A recognized specialist in 20th-century art—spanning everything from Post-Impressionism to contemporary art—Besch Cannes Auction also excels in jewelry, watches, collector cars, decorative arts, and, above all, fine wines. In this latter category, assisted by certified expert Pascal Kuzniewski, the firm offers a vast selection of exceptional wines at every sale, notably Burgundies and classified-growth Bordeaux.

In 2025, the firm was taken over by Claire Waechter, who is committed to preserving Jean-Pierre Besch’s legacy. She also aims to steer the house toward a new, internationally focused dynamic, with a clear determination to reinforce Besch Cannes Auction’s prominent position in the art market.

Balancing continuity with renewal, Claire Waechter seeks to perpetuate the spirit of the major auctions that built the firm’s reputation while developing a high-caliber, contemporary program designed to appeal to an ever-growing French and international clientele.
