Anne CASTERET (20th century) Woman in a Hat. Oil on canvas. Signed upper right. 55 x 46 cm. Missing sections. Anne Casteret was born in Corsica and trained in Paris, notably at the École Duperré and in the studio of Pierre Vellutini, whose influence deeply shaped her work. A Montmartre-based artist, she regularly visits Corsica and developed a style of landscape painting that borders on figurative abstraction. She exhibited at numerous Parisian art shows, notably the Salon d’Automne and the Artistes Indépendants.
