Anne CASTERET (20th century) Three Women Around a Fire. Oil on canvas. Signed lower left. 73 x 92 cm. Anne Casteret was born in Corsica and trained in Paris, notably at the École Duperré and in the studio of Pierre Vellutini, whose influence has profoundly shaped her work. A Montmartre-based artist, she regularly visits Corsica and has developed a style of landscape painting that borders on figurative abstraction. She exhibits at numerous Parisian art shows, notably the Salon d’Automne and the Artistes Indépendants.
