Large GALLERY Karachi, Pakistan, circa 1975–1980 Wool velvet with a few small touches of silk on a cotton backing. Good overall condition Blue-gray field decorated with rows of geometrically stylized insect shells framing eleven octagonal medallions in ivory and midnight blue (motifs reminiscent of Akstafa rugs from the Caucasus). Triple borders, the main one sky blue and decorated with rows of small stylized cartouches. Length: 438 cm. Width: 82 cm.
