Large Romanian RUG, circa 1960–1970 Wool velour on a cotton backing. In good overall condition, with beautiful polychromatic colors. Design reminiscent of Heriz rugs. Dusty pink field featuring a design of multiple symbols representing the earth, flowers, foliage, cypress trees, and polychrome palmettes, adorned with a large, beveled, midnight-blue geometric central medallion featuring multicolored floral panels and stylized diamond-shaped compartments. Four ivory spandrels decorated with roots and geometric serpentine-shaped hooks. Triple borders, the main one featuring a marine motif with rows of crab-shaped floral bulbs and stylized, polychrome turtle shells. Length: 317 cm. Width: 200 cm.
