A Transition-style TABLE stamped with the L'ESCALIER DE CRISTAL Paris mark. It is circular in shape, topped with a piece of violet breccia marble surrounded by an openwork border. It is made of mahogany inlaid with a band of blackened wood, features a drawer running around the base, and rests on a base with curved, beveled legs joined by a crossbar. Ornamentation features chiseled and varnished bronze elements such as scrolls, rudentures, descending scrolls, the gallery, and feet. Stamped “L’Escalier de Cristal” in Paris beneath the inlay on the upper tabletop. A piece in the 19th-century Transition style. Height: 79 cm. Diameter: 55 cm. Note: The piece has been exposed to sunlight.
