Folio, loose as issued in the stenciled yellow Matisse cover, with chemise and slipcase. Illustrated with 12 original lithographs by Matisse (six on white, six on gray paper), plus linocut headbands, tailpieces, and initials. From the edition of 370 copies, this one of 315 on vélin d’Arches, signed by both author and artist. Lithographs printed by Mourlot; linocuts and typography by Fequet & Baudier. Generally very good, with occasional light spotting.
