Le Tendances Nouvelles 46 issues, 1905–1914, including multiple original woodcuts by Wassily Kandinsky Organe Officiel Illustré de l’Union Internationale des Beaux‑Arts, des Lettres, des Sciences et de l’Industrie. Paris, 1904–1914. A significant and nearly complete group of 46 issues of Les Tendances Nouvelles, one of the most influential Parisian art revues of the early 20th century. This collection spans No. 9 (June 1905) through No. 63 (August 1914) and includes the most sought‑after numbers containing original woodcuts by Wassily Kandinsky, notably Nos. 26, 27, 30, 32, 34, 35, 36, and 46. Several issues also feature original prints by other avant‑garde artists active in Paris during this period. Founded in 1904 under the honorary presidency of Paul Adam, Auguste Rodin, and Vincent d’Indy, Les Tendances Nouvelles was conceived as an international platform where artists, writers, and thinkers could freely present their work. The revue championed the idea of artistic unity across disciplines and national borders, and it became a vital forum for the emerging modernist movements that would define the century. Rich in original artistic contributions, essays, and visual experimentation, the publication reflects the intellectual and aesthetic ferment of pre‑war Paris. Complete or near‑complete runs are scarce, and issues containing Kandinsky’s early woodcuts are especially prized. Condition: Fair overall, consistent with age and use; details available upon request.
