Jean VIROLLE (1890–1948) (attributed to) Church of Saint-Gence, October 1910 Oil on canvas, dated lower right Bears a label on the back reading “Jean VIROLLE Post-Impressionist Limousin 1890–1948” 24 x 31 cm Jean Virolle was a student of Auguste Aridas and a professor at the National School of Decorative Arts in Limoges. In 1934, the artist had an exhibition at the Galerie Dalpayrat on Place de la République in Limoges.
