Paris, Deroy, eldest son, 1894. In-8, paperback, printed and illustrated cover. 124 pp. and 1 folio of tables, several black-and-white figures in the text. Cover worn and soiled. Intended for winegrowers, home distillers, and professional distillers, this book combines technical explanations (heating procedures, rectification, alcohol content measurement) with a catalog of patented equipment from the Deroy company, one of the most renowned manufacturers of distillation apparatus. It is illustrated with numerous black-and-white vignettes depicting stills, distillation columns, boilers, vats, and winemaking accessories. The second part presents a catalog of the various Deroy devices, each with a description, a captioned illustration, and a price list. The interior is clean and in good condition.
