[ARTIST'S BOOK]. SORGHE, Dario. Ventimetri. An extremely rare artist’s book in accordion format, unfolding into a 20-meter-long graphic fresco that blends visual poetry, Italian counterculture, Pop Art, Lettrism, and collage from the late 1960s. No place, no publisher, no date (circa 1960). Square quarto, black-printed cardboard cover, containing a 20-meter-long leporello of black-and-white artwork. Fold marks on the cardboard cover, slight yellowing at the margins, rare foxing spots, a tear at the bottom of one leaf. A superb artist’s book, a masterpiece of Italian counterculture, visual poetry, underground Pop Art, and Lettrism/collage from the late 1960s. In it, Dario Sorghe unfolds a monumental graphic fresco across a continuous 20-meter strip, blending typographic collages, anatomical engravings, political slogans, comic strip fragments, elements of pop culture, and saturated India ink drawings (mechanical motifs, political figures, religious and countercultural symbols). A fragile publication due to its unusual format, yet preserved in fine condition. Extremely rare.
