FALLET, René. How Do You Make Love, Cerise? First edition, featuring an autographed dedication by René Fallet to Lucienne and Pierre Onteniente. Paris, Denoël, 1969. In-8, paperback, printed cover. 308 pages. Cover worn and soiled, spine creased. First edition on standard paper. René Fallet (1927–1983) tells the story of Michael Huggins, a disillusioned man in his forties in the “Swinging London” of the 1960s, who sets his sights on Cerise, a 24-year-old French woman as enigmatic as she is indifferent to his seduction tactics. This copy is enhanced on the half-title page by an autographed dedication from the author, dated October 1969, to Lucienne and Pierre Onteniente (1921–2013), who was a close friend and confidant of Georges Brassens: “To Lucienne and Pierre Onteniente, their friend of yesteryear and today. René Falley. October 1969.” Clean and fresh interior.
