Square in-12 format, stapled, black-and-white illustrated cover, in a slipcase. 14 pages and 1 folio, black-and-white compositions by Jean-Paul Héraud, both within the text and as full-page illustrations. First edition of the 8th title in the “petit à petit” collection, creating a dialogue between the contemporary poetry of Mathieu Bénézet and the abstract compositions of Jean-Paul Héraud. The title page has been enhanced with yellow and ochre paint/gouache by the artist. Limited edition of 400 copies, printed with a layout by Xueqing Wang and Mikyung Jung. This copy is enhanced with a handwritten note signed by the illustrator Jean-Paul Héraud to Olga Bénézet (1956–2022), written in black marker on the mailing envelope: “Here’s the special edition. Olga for Olga & to fill the boat with a little ink. Hugs, Jean-Paul” In excellent condition.
