MORRIS and GOSCINNY. — Lucky Luke. Watch Out for the Blue-Feet. Marcinelle-Charleroi, Éditions Dupuis, 1966. In-4, publisher’s illustrated hardcover, square spine, 46 color plates. Lucky Luke Collection, No. 10. Reprint of the 1966 edition, bearing the copyright notice “© 1966 by Morris and Ed. J. Dupuis, Fils & Cie.” The back cover features a design of wooden planks, displaying eight titles from the collection, including *Billy the Kid*, *The Daltons in the Blizzard*, *The Daltons Are Still on the Run*, *The Caravan*, and *The 20th Cavalry*. Art and story by Morris. Contrary to what the usual association of the two authors might suggest, this album was created entirely by Morris, without any contribution from René Goscinny. Originally published as a graphic novel in 1958, *Watch Out for the Bluefoots* is one of Lucky Luke’s classic adventures. The famous cowboy finds himself confronted by the schemes of a dishonest gambler seeking to provoke a conflict with the Bluefoot Indians. The cover, which is particularly striking, depicts Lucky Luke and Jolly Jumper gazing out at a desert landscape in the American West, while skull-shaped clouds rise above the red mountains. Condition: Good copy. Front cover with fresh, well-preserved colors, showing slight signs of wear. Corners and edges slightly rubbed. Back cover clean, with a few handling marks. Interior slightly yellowed, with no major apparent defects.
