MANUEL HURTADO MATEOS (Medina de las Torres, Badajoz, 1965). "The Model's Rest," 2002. Oil on canvas. Signed and dated. Measurements: 100 x 81 cm. 112 x 93 cm. (frame). Manuel Hurtado Mateos is a painter whose mastery of hyperrealism has allowed him to stand out in contemporary Spanish figurative art. His technique, focused on precision of detail and the study of light, has recently been recognized by masters such as Antonio López at the Ibáñez Museum. His work, which ranges from portraiture to still life, is part of institutional collections such as the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Realism (MUREC). He has thus established himself as an artist who, through technical perfectionism, manages to capture the vital essence of objects and people.
