EMILIANO BORGES (Caracas, Venezuela, 1969). “Wannabe Neruda,” 2009. Oil, acrylic, charcoal, pencil, and plaster on canvas. Signed in the lower right corner. Signed, dated, and titled on the reverse. Measurements: 100 x 81 cm. A Spanish-Venezuelan multidisciplinary artist, trained in architecture, drawing, graphic design, and animation in Caracas and New York. After earning his degree in architecture in 1994, he has built a professional career that integrates art, architecture, design, and visual creation. He has worked on projects in art restoration, film, set design, corporate architecture, and industrial design, collaborating with professionals and institutions in Venezuela and Spain. He has lived in Barcelona since 2000. Since 2007, he has progressively focused his artistic practice on painting, using his sketchbooks as a starting point and exploring drawing, composition, and formats as tools for visual expression. Her exhibition history includes solo shows in Caracas, Italy, and Barcelona, among them *Cuadernos* (Galería 39, 2009), *Qualsiasi superficie sarà quindi un porto* (Italy, 2010), and *Tercios* (La Maldita Estampa, 2018), as well as various group exhibitions in Spain.In 2020, he presented *Lo Breve*, accompanied by the publication of the book of the same name. Since then, he has been developing the large-format series *Pasos* and *Momular*, alongside *Tercios*, which together form the traveling exhibition project *Nada tarareable*, scheduled to begin its tour in 2027 at the Casa de Iberoamérica in Cádiz.
