WITH CHAIN FOR CARRYING Small vintage mesh purse made of silver plated metal with flexible metal links and a beaded clasp or top hinge mechanism, featuring a small tassel or hanging fringe detail at the bottom and an oval-link chain for carrying. It was used as a hand-held coin purse or a chatelaine accessory (hung from a belt). Late 19th century to early 20th century (Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Nouveau periods). Weight: 107.60 g.
