Francisco de Goya y Lucientes (1746–1828) And They Still Won’t Leave! (Plate 59 of *Los Caprichos*). 1799. Etching, aquatint, burnisher, and burin. 150 x 210 [220 x 323 mm]. Delteil 96; Harris 94. A very fine print on coarse-grained cream laid paper, likely a proof predating the first edition, before the bevels were added; the aquatint is very subtle; a few ink-stained scratches to the left of the number and along the edges of the copper plate. Slight sepia-colored moisture stains around the plate edge in the margins (possibly caused by a drainage issue during the print run). Full margins. AABM stamp (Lugt 3075).
Delivery is optional. You can use the carrier of your choice. The stated price does not include the lot price or the auction house fees.
