[RUSSIAN BALLETS]. Grand Art Season of the VIIIth Olympiad. Serge Diaghilev’s Russian Ballets. [Paris: M. A. Mangeot], 1924. — In-4, stapled. A beautiful and rare program for Serge Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes, which were performed at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées from May to June 1924 as part of the Grand Art Season of the VIIIth Olympiad. The performances included Igor Stravinsky’s *Les Noces*, Francis Poulenc’s *Les Biches*, and Stravinsky’s *Pulcinella*, based on Gianbattista Pergolesi. This program is highly sought after because it features eight illustrations based on works by Picasso—one on the cover and seven inside, printed on vellum paper. It also includes color reproductions of drawings by Marie Laurencin, Juan Gris, and Georges Braque. Very well-preserved copy.
