Ernest PIGNON-ERNEST (born in 1942). Male nude (Daniel Biga). Drawing for the cover of *Octobre* by Daniel BIGA, published by Oswald. Ink and gouache on paper, annotated on the reverse. Created around 1973, signed and later inscribed by the artist to “Sylvie.” (Minor creases along the edges.) Height: 55 cm; Width: 17 cm. INCLUDED is a copy of *Octobre* (Daniel Biga’s journal), published by Éditions Pierre-Jean Oswald, 1973. Provenance: - Gaëtan Langlais Collection, then passed down through the family. A friend of Ernest Pignon-Ernest, the writer Daniel Biga is portrayed here on the cover of the book *Octobre* (his journal), published by Éditions Pierre-Jean Oswald in 1973. Mr. Gaëtan Langlais, brother-in-law of Pierre-Jean and Hélène Oswald, was then the artistic and literary director of the PJO publishing house.
