CHRISTIAN LU Large square silk scarf featuring a polychrome floral design in shades of orange, pink, and green 2000s Dimensions: 110 x 110 cm Christian Lu (born in 1951 in Shanghai) is a Franco-Chinese painter who has lived in Paris since 1981. Trained by the great masters of Chinese painting, he worked notably alongside Zao Wou-Ki, serving as his assistant from 1982 to 1989. In 1985, he founded his own eponymous brand and adapted his pictorial style to textile design, particularly on silk. His creations are distinguished by the fusion of Eastern artistic traditions and Western aesthetics, transforming textiles into a true medium for artistic expression.
