JAPAN - 20th century A set of three matching garden ornaments depicting cranes (tsuru). These pieces are cast in bronze Two cranes stand in an alert posture: one has its head turned toward the sky, its beak slightly open as if calling out; the other has its head turned backward and upward, its beak closed. The third crane is leaning forward, appearing to have just caught a fish.
