JAPAN - 19th century Hexagonal Japanese temple hanging lantern (釣灯籠, tsuri'dôrô) made of wrought copper and decorated with openwork, engraved, and repoussé motifs. Each side features an openwork lattice covered with washi paper. The lantern was recently fitted with an electric lighting system. Dimensions: Height, including hanging ring: 52 cm; diameter: 39 cm.
