JAPAN - 20th century Alloy bell (dôbachi) with a dark brown patina and a continuous hammered pattern. The bell rests on a silk cushion, which in turn rests on a red-and-gold lacquered wooden four-legged stand. The set is completed by a red-lacquered mallet. Approximate dimensions: Height 56 cm, diameter 39.5 cm. (Minor signs of wear and small areas where the lacquer has chipped off)
