Cup-bearing figure, Ogbom (Ugbom) type, Southern Igbo, Nigeria. An imposing sculpture of a seated woman, her arms raised to support a circular cup on her head. The expressive face, with narrow eyes and a slightly parted mouth, features fine incised scarifications. The figure rests on an openwork seat and a wide circular base adorned with triangular friezes. Wood with a nuanced light brown patina, showing signs of wear and cracks.
