Anthropozoomorphic figure with a bird’s head, Hausa (presumed), Nigeria / Niger. A slender wooden sculpture combining a human body with slightly spread legs and a bird’s head with a long, slightly parted beak. The torso, rendered in clean geometric forms, is flanked by two broad rectangular wings, giving the piece a remarkable sculptural presence. The head is adorned with small red seeds from *Abrus precatorius*, inlaid on either side of the skull, while several rows of white beads encircle the waist. The wood has a nuanced brown-gray patina, with irregular surfaces softened by wear. Height: 46 cm
