Baoulé/Yahouré Mask, Ivory Coast. Carved from wood, it features an elongated face with delicately sculpted features, almond-shaped eyes, and a slightly parted mouth. The forehead is adorned with small raised scarifications, while an imposing conical headdress, entirely covered with fine oblique incisions, dominates the composition. The face is framed by a remarkable serrated border with geometric reliefs. It has a beautiful reddish-brown patina with dark hues, showing areas of polishing and wear. The interior, with a smoothed surface, retains an ancient peripheral fastening mechanism made of plant fibers. Height: 44 cm
