A rare and remarkable flute player mask, Tungunga type, Bamoun, Cameroon. An anthropomorphic mask carved from wood and painted in multiple colors. The face is characterized by large, protruding circular eyes, voluminous cheeks adorned with concentric discs, a quadrangular mouth, and a prominent chin appendage. The imposing conical headdress, divided by a pronounced central ridge and entirely patterned with geometric grid motifs, gives the piece a striking sculptural presence. Beautiful original polychrome with signs of wear and surface discoloration. The interior retains a dark patina, traces of carving, and old collection labels (J. Lecluse). Bibliography: Jean Lecluse, *L'Art du Nord-Ouest camerounais – Aide-mémoire*, Liège, 2001, p. 20, figs. 4 and 5, the example shown here, acquired in 1985. Height: 37.5 cm, including the base
