Anthropomorphic mask from Vuvi / Tsogho, Gabon. A carved wooden mask featuring an oval face with a tapered chin, elongated eyes set beneath prominent brow ridges, a triangular nose, and a strongly protruding mouth revealing a row of fine teeth. The cheeks are adorned with vertical scarifications. Beautiful antique polychromy combining white kaolin, reddish-brown, and black. Two-lobed headdress, deeply hollowed out on the inside and showing signs of wear. First half of the 20th century. Height: 28 cm
