Lega spoon, DR Congo. Carved bone. A remarkable anthropomorphic bone spoon featuring a slender, highly elegant silhouette; the long handle transitions into a stylized body with prominent shoulders and disproportionately elongated, openwork legs. The pelvis and legs are accented with fine incised geometric motifs. Beautiful ivory patina with honey-colored hues. An object of great graphic power associated with the world of Bwami.
