Lega Spoon, DR Congo. A remarkable anthropomorphic spoon made of bone, with an ovoid bowl forming an oversized head, while the handle extends into a stylized body with raised arms and spread legs. The reverse side features an elegant pattern of incised concentric circles, characteristic of the ornamental style found on certain Lega objects associated with the Bwami. Beautiful antique honey-colored patina, nuanced and polished by use. Height: 16.5 cm
