Louis HOLWECK (1861-1935) Condemned vestal. Patinated terra cotta. H. 23 cm. Small chips and accidents, restoration to the base. Provenance: Artist's family by inheritance. Note: Louis Holweck is best known for his monument to the writer Bernardin de Saint-Pierre and his novel Paul et Virginie, erected in 1907 in the Jardin des Plantes in Paris.
