CHINA, 18th–19th centuries * East India Company, 18th century Five porcelain plates with polychrome decoration: - a round plate decorated with a rooster perched on a flowering shrub within a ribbon-shaped medallion set against a green honeycomb background and floral cartouches. Diameter: 23 cm. - a scalloped plate decorated with flowers in shades of pink and mauve, accented with gold and friezes of spears. Diameter: 23.5 cm. Small chip on the rim. - a scalloped bowl decorated with polychrome flowers and gold dart-patterned friezes. Diameter: 21.6 cm. - Two scalloped bowls (one deep and one shallow) decorated in the center with a bouquet of flowers and on the rim with a coat of arms of alliance beneath a count’s crown, set against a background of a flag and cannons, as well as garlands of flowers, a frieze of branches and battlements. Diameter: 21.5–24 cm. Restored. One is chipped. = signs of wear. * CHINA, 19th century A circular porcelain plate with a polychrome decoration of carp among seaweed; the rim features a ribbon punctuated by flowers in four medallions and blue flowers. Diameter: 23 cm. Wear and chipping. = set of 6 pcs.
