NORTH AFRICA, 19th century Dala'il al-Khayrat Small religious manuscript on paper, 12 lines of text per page in black, yellow, blue and red ink in Maghribi script, within colored fillets, and some marginal inscriptions. Polychrome illuminated double page depicting the tombs of the Prophet and his companions, and the prayer room of the Medina mosque (Rawdah and minbar). Case: 13 x 12 cm; manuscript: 11.5 x 12 cm. Bound in leather with flap, detached. In engraved leather case. Manuscript incomplete at beginning and end, 4 folios added at beginning, accidents, stains, wear, wetness.
